Doodles (85/365)

I doodle a lot, and with the year finishing up, I thought I'd snap some pictures. Sometimes the drawing help me study;

Sometimes they happen because of what we are learning in class 9this class, were were doing the reproductive system in anatomy, teehee);

And sometimes they ARE what I am studying (as in this page, which is the exam prep notes from my psychology class);

A lot of the time these doodles are full-page size and just lines - here is the detail of one such picture;

Other times the pictures take on a life of their own (like this unfinished one that ended up looking like a face);

The amount of detail depends on how much time I put into it, unsurprisingly;

Often it takes me more than one sitting to finish the full page;

Over the summer I broke out paints to go over some of my favorite study-doodles;

Very occasionally I draw actual people (this is Kate Middleton, UK's Prince William's girlfriend);

And I try and get some art done when I can. Here is a fun thing to do if you have a few cents to kill on your copy card at the campus library - empty out your pockets!

That's all for today (oh yeah, and Penny - surprise!)

Late, and Tired! (53/365)

THURSDAY'S PHOTOS

Had no chance to post these pictures from yesterday until now, since I was writing an exam.

Another pretty sunny day. The most photogenic building on campus, BioSciences:

I made a paper crane out of a Starburst wrapper. Apparently my hours of studying is inversly proportional to my productivity:

My Anatomy Handbook. Grrrrrrr:

And some shots from around the Biology labs:

Paper. Lots of it. (13/365)

So I'm staying with my friend for a few days and her younger brother is a fashion-photographer-to-be, so we spent most of today helping set up his shoot. So I have literally 82 pictures I want to add up here, but I'll just pick my favorites for now and maybe add more tomorrow.

Obviously all the ideas for this shoot and the putting together of this belong to Brandon Mercer, and my pictures are kind of like a badly done "making of" featurette.

The theme was "Paper":

This is his model, Izzy Storm, surrounded by the paper chains we made:

My friend and the chains, much amused by her current status as a "slave to fashion":

Her other younger brother. I liked the spinning headphones:

Izzy all dressed up with her hair and makeup in place:

Messing around setting up the set/camera/lights:

Setting up the cranes and chains around Izzy:

A over contrasted picture of the man himself at work:

.....and then we went cosmic bowling (kind of). :D
