Graffiti Alley Redux (120/365)

Ok, before anything else I just wanted to introduce this gregarious little guy, who followed me for a whole block today, very cute:



I went to visit the Graffiti Alley of Toronto, Rush Lane, today. Rush Lane is a place where, on certain days, it is legal to graffiti the walls of the alley. All around it are alleys that are illegally tagged, and they are awesome too.

I had 600+ pictures, sifted down to about 350 that were the best. Below are 45 of those, which I thought are interesting photographically, not just because the graffiti is cool. The full 300+ will be up on my facebook by week's end.

First, two collages obviously by the same person but on opposite sides of the neighbourhood:



This one I really loved, I'm a fan of the stencils and this one reminds me of Banksy (hopefully more on him tomorrow):

  2. it's hard to get a feel for what this alley is like. maybe next time a few more pictures would help ;)
